Sorry to be a noob, but im really stuck.
I understand that i have to do clearing the chamber before i can get anywhere else, but i always get killed by the aatxes. the only time i did get past my friend did that bit for me. i have since spent all the money on that trip changing my build to get that quest done and getting back nito the underworld. i can see that if i can do it right id make loads of money, but since i cant do it right its academic atm.
How do i do that quest?
I have started using a perma sliver build as i understand this is good when you reach the planes.

Am not familiar with the solo planes stuff but, are u even supposed to kill the aatxes? I thought only killing the grasps will get u thru the doors..

I suggest bringing 3 heroes, only pulling what is needed, meaning the graspings, and killing them.
when the gate opens, flag the heroes so that they stay in chamber.
and go run to plains

when i learning some area in uw, it's easy to bring hero SS to kill all the aatx in chamber.
you cannot attack aatx though...

just keep SF up and you can't die..

Try this build, as sliver armor will take you a couple hours to fully farm the planes.

I use it myself, with two blue rock candies (And a green one for chamber/mnts) I can kill everything important in the area in under 40 minutes. I hear people can do under 40 without cons, but I can't manage it

1st: With the sliver build you must kill the aatxes as sliver targets them before the graspings

2nd: if you use a melee weapon the aatxes will kill you because of deadly riposte

solution - use a zealous spear

It'd be helpful if the OP posted the build he's trying to use. If it was the fire builds posted on pvx, then yeah you don't kill the aatxes. If you really want to clear the aatxes, then I suggest going for either the sliver build or the SF/Commando (bring a bonder hero). The SF/Commando build can pretty much clear all of the UW, and you really only need the hero for certain parts, so you can flag him away for more drops.

Oh yeah - forgot about that. With the sliver build the aatxes die so fast (and occasionally drop ectos) that I haven't bothered to avoid them in a long long time.

But the solution still holds - most enjoyable way to deal with them is to use a zealous spear of enchanting until they aatxes die and then switch to scythe or daggers.
